Russian beech

Beech is one of the richest and most important trees in the forests of the world, so far about 5 species have been identified in different parts of the world. Each species is similar in that they differ from each other in terms of tree shape, properties, and climate.

The beech tree is almost scarce in the plain but abundant in the highlands. In Iran, pure forests are found in Gilan and Mazandaran at more than 2 meters above sea level. Beech is a shady tree and therefore has a lot of foliage. Its young seedlings are damaged by the severe cold early on, and in particular the spring cold destroys its leaves, and excessive heat can be detrimental to it. It does not grow well in cold areas but it does look a little better in hot places.
